The recipes look good and are well put together with easy to follow thought out steps. I enjoy the technique or recipe tips included with several of the recipes within. I do also lie the summary and bit of history at the top, reminds me a bit of Alton Brown with the story behind the recipes. I love knowing the experimentation or history. My only real gripe is the lack of pictures. I enjoy having a visualization of how the finished product should be and a hint at presentation.Great seller! While I did receive this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review, all opinions are my own and I would still definitely recommend this book to any one.

I just finished reading the cookbook and I feel disappointed in it because of the lack of recipe pictures. I am a visual person and I like to see what the recipe is supposed to look like once finished plus its more enticing that way. I haven't tried any of the recipes but they do seem like they will be good. I'm especially excited about the bread recipes! Overall I did like the cookbook because it offers a variety of recipes and its all dutch oven recipes.
Fantastic book! Lots of good history on Dutch Ovens. I love mine more than ever no. We've made only a couple of the recipes but so far they have been easy to follow with a small number ingredients and delicious. Definitely a book to pick up if you want to learn the basics of dutch oven cooking. Master a few of these and you can pretty much do whatever you want. I got the kindle version and have it on a tablet in my kitchen that I reference often.
