This is by far the best medical book I have purchased in some time. It is clearly written and easy to understand the different medical conditions it addresses. Better still are alternative solutions to the usual "cookie cutter" medical practices, and contact information should you decide to investigate some of the alternatives further. It is a very large volume jam-packed with amazing information! Be sure to check out the write-ups on Mad Cow Disease, MRSA, and Prostate.
This book carries information on many illnesses and gives suggestions for alternative treatments that the mainstream medical community does not consider. Since I am not a physician, some of the suggestions seem to be only for those with medical training. For example, what is given in the index on a given product or illness gives the recommendation of another book that will enlighten the practitioner in how to use the product or address the illness rather than giving an explanation in this book. I was a bit disappointed in it for this reason. However, it opens one's eyes to the possibilities of other approaches to certain illnesses and conditions and suggests otherwise un-thought-of therapies. I realize that to give more explanations about all of the diseases would make the book so large as to be impractical for that reason.
Much better than I thought it would be.Found things here that I had never heard of before.It tells you about different treatments, products, Web sites, sources and just about anything and everything else you don't hear about.I can see why the pharmaceuticals don't want you to get your hands on anything like this, they can't make money on alot of things in this book.I think it was money well spent on this book. Just wish I knew about this years ago.
If you are into helping yourself get well, this is the book you should have. If you don't help yourself - its getting to the point when nobody else will.
